A person cannot teach another person directly; a person can only facilitate another’s learning.

Why Counselling?

There are times in life when things just don’t seem to be working as they did.  There may be changes you feel you want to make but aren’t too sure where to begin, or there may be experiences you’ve had in the past that continue to have an impact in an unhealthy way, (being bullied at school, a parent leaving, a loved one dying, loss of many kinds, abuse, repeated mental health problems, or something else entirely).

Counselling can provide a safe and secure place to explore your thoughts, feelings and behaviours which can lead to a better understanding of self and so bring us to a place of greater clarity, flourishing and wholeness. .

Professional

I am a registered member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP) and I work within their ethical framework. As part of that I have monthly supervision and I am fully insured. I also engage in on-going training as part of my professional development.

As part of my practice, I have to make basic notes about our work together. These will be kept in accordance with the GDPR regulations – which will be password protected on line, and where your identity will be anonymous, and any paperwork will be kept in a cabinet that is locked.

“You have enabled me to face the future with confidence and strength - letting the past go – I cannot thank you enough.”
